Jessica Alba to Star in Netflix Action-Thriller ‘Trigger Warning’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Following the success of Chris Hemsworth’s “Extraction,” Netflix is doubling down on action movies, tapping Jessica Alba to lead the next one.

Sources tell Variety that Alba will star in the new Netflix action-thriller “Trigger Warning,” with Mouly Surya directing. Josh Olson and John Brancato penned the script, and Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee are producing. Alba will exec produce.

Trigger Warning’ is directed by Mouly Surya, who was also our directing mentor at the Asia Film Awards (AFA) and was with us at our MPA Busan Film Workshop last year. Mouly was nominated for Best Director 2017 for one of her films “Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts” at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA).

It is truly amazing that not only Indonesian movies are breaking into the global market and being shown at international film festivals, but the fact that international markets are looking for talent in these parts of the world.
